I think in two years the Guildwars series will be dead.

If they continue to release new expansions, judging by the impact of nightfall the game doesnt have the playerbase to keep each chapter playable each new release will have the players more and more spread out, its already a joke to try get a team together in the majority of prophecies town.

two chapters down and the new buyers will see a array of guildwars games on the shelf only rivalled by the sims and pick one only to find 1 or two people in each town.

The latest chapter will always have a population boost but i fear loyal gamers who cant afford the next 3rd or 4th expansion will be left behind in ghost towns and then quit.

They aren't trying to keep the playercount up in the older chapters. They want people to move on to the expansions.

now i know that communicating in some towns is a majour mmorg expirience
BUT the truth be told... i dont even want to spend more then 5 minutes in a town which is filled with people...way to many shouts "WTS/WTB etc."
people in the guild are always usefull if youre in a mood for an argument/conversation... but thats just me

I agree. All these heroes and crap make this game not MMORPG worthy any more. Your better of doing this without the internetconnection.

I already planned NOT to buy any new chapter since Anet just changed everything i liked in the game compleetly. 17 months this game has been roughly the same and now they just change all.

All the changes to skills dont bother me much but the nerfing of farming UW and other places does. Not even starting about Heroes Ascent.

I dislike every hero charater, koss etc, they are not near as good but they take the places of humans. People dont even play with others in PVP any more. Its just Heroes and Henchman.

Luckly there are other games.
Anet doesnt get that you cant change a game compleetly if it has been running for 17 months.

Why can't you change a game after 17 months? If they don't change anything...meh...

If you don't like heroes, I'd agree they aren't as good as decent players...go ahead and find some decent players to play with you then. No one is forcing you to play with the heroes...

i think thats wat ther saying as the problem, the lack of players who want to play with other players instead of npcs..

while anet might WANT people to buy the new chapter, while there are the older chapters for sale new people will buy them and see ghost towns.

Those heroes are every where. They are here for PvE not in PVP. If you know what those shorts are standing for at least...

You can change your game with the new chapter not with compleetly changing the gameplay.
The new professions in the game will change a lot. Also all the new skills will add some more fun. You dont need a 6vs6 arena for that or sidekick heroes.

The heroes are strictly story plot, secondarily, they are for the lone new kid who cant get a group.

PvP has been effectively revamped with the hero/hench inclusion. I think that PvE is a bit more single player based with the hero element,but that's just me and my opinion.

If you want my opinion, the heroes are just smart henchies. You should look at it like "Build A Henchie!". They can't replace good human players, but they can help where henchies fail.

If you don't like the game, then by all means leave. Give your gold and weapons away, sell your guild, and go play a new game. most won't miss you. It's not like we all know you as a great staple of the GW community.

Where one goes, another 5 come in to take his place.

Hardly, I've been to Ascalon City this week and it was still as busy as ever. And besides, newcomers have always found it difficult to get groups because some retard responded "lol you can do it with henchies". Hopefully those retards are getting due suffering thanks to the Hero system ^^

The lands of Tyria and Cantha will not be ghost towns for some time, as more and more people totally new to GW pick up the earlier campaigns and I assume there is still a market for Tyrian/Canthan greens.

Additionally, many players may become tired of seeing the sight of Elona after a couple of months and drop back to these lands for a change of scenery.

Ascalon city ?of course youl find people im talking about the maguma jungle areas,fire islands,desert they are as good as empty yet cover most the game.

True true, they want to make a living too.

My point was if you make a game that is good enough, and GW was very good in the first 12 months, then you can keep the game interesting with very small changes like skills update. And after a year or so you add a chapter with new places and skills. You dont change the compleet game. Then you still have happy old players and a lot of new ones. If people tell you that the game is good youll buy it a lot quicker then when its just standing in the store and you never heard about it. That also works the other way around.
